Important note regarding pictures & nook eReader (Barnes & Noble)

Article Tools

If you are formatting your ebook for the BN nook (which you can publish via http://pubit.barnesandnoble.com) – you can upload the same .doc file you send to Amazon for your Kindle conversion, but one important limitation on nook readers to be aware of:  They don’t automatically resize images to fit the screen of a nook reader.  So you want to be sure you don’t create images larger than 600 (wide) x 800 (tall) pixels. The iPad & Kindle both automatically resize images to fit the screen, but the nook doesn’t (at this time).

There’s a very handy little tool I’ve discovered that will help you automatically resize all your pictures.  It’s called Format Factory and you can download the free version here.
